KATHMANDU: After a sluggish start to the season, Mumbai Indians have finally found their rhythm in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

On Thursday, they secured a thrilling 4-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede Stadium, marking their second consecutive win in the tournament.

Batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad set a target of 163 runs after posting 162 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs.

Abhishek Sharma led the charge with a quick-fire 40 off 28 balls, including 7 boundaries.

Heinrich Klaasen contributed 37 runs, while Travis Head added 28.

Nitish Kumar Reddy (19) and Aniket Verma (18* not out) provided late support.

In reply, Mumbai chased down the target in 18.1 overs, losing six wickets along the way. Opener Ryan Rickelton laid a steady foundation with 31 runs, while Rohit Sharma (26), Will Jacks (36), Suryakumar Yadav (26), and Tilak Varma (21* not out) all chipped in with valuable contributions.

However, it was skipper Hardik Pandya’s explosive cameo that sealed the win.

Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins was impressive with the ball, claiming 3 wickets for just 26 runs in his four overs.
