Man dies in lightning strike

KATHMANDU: A man has died after being struck by lightning in Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-8, Buwalung, on Thursday afternoon.

The deceased, 55-year-old Gangaprasad Dhakal, was working in a field near his home when the lightning struck around 1 PM, as confirmed by Ward Chairperson Lila Chauhan.

Authorities from the local police station have arrived at the scene, and further details will be provided, according to District Police Office Khotang spokesperson, Inspector Mohan Pokhrel.
