KATHMANDU: Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh has ordered the closure of 11 private hospitals in Barahathwa, Sarlahi, for operating without proper service permits and failing to meet required infrastructure standards.

The hospitals affected include Crisis Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., Sanjeevani Hospital Pvt. Ltd., HappyCare Medical Pvt. Ltd., Sarlahi Golden Hospital Pvt. Ltd., Unit Hospital Pvt. Ltd., Venus Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., Barahathwa New Life Hospital Pvt. Ltd., Hanumanth Hospital Pvt. Ltd., Bhuvaneshwar Dental Clinic, Jai Maa Healthcare, and Barahathwa Polyclinic.

During an inspection on Wednesday night, Chief Minister Singh directed the closure of these institutions for operating without legal permits or violating regulatory standards.

Anil Kumar Karn, press advisor to the Chief Minister, confirmed the directive.

Santosh Thakur, Health Officer at the Provincial Ministry of Health and Population, stated that the affected institutions must comply with legal requirements, renew permits, and adhere to standards to resume operations.
