Sumana Shrestha resigns from RSP leadership

KATHMANDU: Sumana Shrestha, the Deputy General Secretary of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and a Member of Parliament, has resigned from her position.

Sources indicate that Shrestha had submitted her resignation some time ago.

Shrestha, who cited her desire to focus more actively on her role as a legislator rather than party responsibilities, plans to submit her resignation letter at the central committee meeting scheduled for today.

Her resignation has led to internal opposition within the party, especially due to her dissatisfaction with party president Rabi Lamichhane’s leadership.
