Animal leg found in Inaruwa, probe launched
The police have formed an investigation committee led by the DSP to identify the origin of the leg.

KATHMANDU: A cow or buffalo’s leg was found severed on a road in Inaruwa, Sunsari.
On Wednesday morning, a leg resembling that of a cow or buffalo was discovered on the road in Inaruwa Municipality-1.
However, the exact animal it belonged to remains unclear.
The police have formed an investigation committee led by the DSP to identify the origin of the leg.
Local residents notified the police around 10 a.m. after spotting the severed leg on the road.
The police’s preliminary assumption is that the leg may have been cut from a cow or buffalo, or possibly dropped by a dog that had carried it there.
A five-member committee has been formed under the leadership of DSP Yograj Khatiwada, the spokesperson for Sunsari Police, to investigate the incident.
Sunsari Police Chief SP Suman Kumar Timilsina confirmed that the investigation had already begun under Khatiwada’s leadership.
The leg-like object will be sent for testing, and further investigation is underway.
