MP Chaudhary visits Chaupatta Hospital with Dhulikhel Hospital team
MP Chaudhary has taken this initiative with the aim of operating Chaupatta Hospital as an outreach hospital of Dhulikhel Hospital.

KATHMANDU: MP Binod Chaudhary, along with a team from Nepal’s renowned Dhulikhel Hospital, has inspected the Chaupatta Hospital (Martyr Memorial Community Hospital) in West Nawalparasi.
MP Chaudhary has taken this initiative with the aim of operating Chaupatta Hospital as an outreach hospital of Dhulikhel Hospital.
A high-level team from Dhulikhel Hospital, accompanied by MP Chaudhary, conducted an on-site visit of the hospital located in Ward No. 14 of Bardaghat Municipality.
The visit aimed to assess and plan for improved, high-quality, and well-managed healthcare service delivery at the facility.
The initiative, driven by MP Chaudhary, is being coordinated with Bardaghat Municipality and Dhulikhel Hospital to expand the hospital’s services.
During the visit, the medical team from Dhulikhel not only inspected the current conditions of the hospital but also held discussions with stakeholders on how to effectively manage and operate the facility.
MP Chaudhary expressed confidence that transforming Shahid Smriti Community Hospital into a fully functional outreach center of Dhulikhel Hospital would provide greater convenience and quality healthcare services to the local population.
In a related effort, under the coordination of Health and Population Minister Pradeep Poudel and at the initiative of MP Chaudhary, the Rotary Club of Dhulikhel recently provided six dialysis machines to the hospital.
Dhulikhel Hospital is currently training Chaupatta Hospital staff on the operation and proper use of these machines.
If fully operated as an outreach center, Chaupatta Hospital is expected to serve not only the people of Nawalparasi but also residents of neighboring districts with access to specialist healthcare services.
Despite having adequate infrastructure and medical equipment, the hospital had been unable to deliver quality services — a challenge MP Chaudhary is determined to address.
During his election campaign, MP Chaudhary had pledged to develop the hospital into a model and referral center for the entire region. With health, education, and employment as his core agenda, he is now turning promises into action.
The Dhulikhel Hospital team also assessed the hospital’s physical condition and other infrastructures. Once operational under Dhulikhel’s facilitation, patients admitted at Chaupatta will receive high-standard care, and those requiring more advanced treatment will be referred to Dhulikhel Hospital.
MP Chaudhary’s healthcare initiatives extend beyond Chaupatta.
He has already overseen a major upgrade of the Chisapani Hospital in Bardaghat and is currently facilitating the construction of a trauma center in the same area.
This will be the first trauma center outside Kathmandu, a development that has been welcomed with joy by local residents.
