Body of missing woman found five days after disappearance
Her family reported her missing to the police post in Bhawang, providing a description for the search.

KATHMANDU: The body of 43-year-old Susmita Gharti Magar, who had gone missing five days ago, was discovered in a river in Rolpa, police confirmed on Tuesday.
A resident of Lapchung Kola Gaira, Madi Rural Municipality-6, Susmita had gone out on Chaitra 29 to visit relatives but never arrived.
Her family reported her missing to the police post in Bhawang, providing a description for the search.
A search team led by constable Ram Bilash Chaudhary was deployed to find her. After five days of intensive efforts, her body was found face-down in the middle of Wali River, located in Madi-5.
Authorities confirmed the identity of the deceased as the missing woman.
Following the discovery, an investigation team led by Inspector Dev Singh Bhandari from the Area Police Office in Ghartigaun was dispatched.
Rolpa District Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Bharat Thapa, stated that a six-member team is now handling the case for further investigation.
According to police, a total of eight people – six women, one girl, and one elderly person – were reported missing in Rolpa in the Nepali month of Chaitra.
Among them, two women and one girl are still unaccounted for.
Meanwhile, police reported 29 disaster-related incidents occurred in Rolpa during Chaitra, resulting in two deaths and four injuries. Property damages are estimated at around Rs 2.3 million.
