Road accident in Itahari claims life of toddler

KATHMANDU: A three-year-old boy lost his life after being hit by a tractor on Tuesday afternoon in Sunsari, Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City–15.

The child, identified as Mahir Miya, son of Ainul Miya, a resident of the area originally from India, sustained critical injuries in the accident involving tractor number Province 1-02-003 Ta 702.

He was immediately rushed to Nobel Hospital in Biratnagar, where he died during treatment.

Police have taken the tractor driver into custody and are conducting further investigations into the incident.
