Gold price hits all-time high

KATHMANDU: The price of gold in the Nepali market has surged to a record high.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold rose by Rs. 2,700 per tola on Wednesday.

With the increase, hallmark gold is being traded at Rs. 187,000 per tola today — the highest rate ever recorded in Nepal.

On Tuesday, gold was traded at Rs. 184,300 per tola.

Similarly, silver prices have also increased by Rs. 10 per tola, reaching Rs. 1,955 today, compared to Rs. 1,945 on Tuesday.
