Worker found dead in Gulmi
He had been working on the road construction project in the area.
KATHMANDU: A worker has been found dead in Madane Rural Municipality-6, Purkotdaha, along the Saljhandi–Dhorpatan road section, according to the District Police Office, Gulmi.
The deceased has been identified as Shivaram Khadka, aged around 50–52, a resident of Lungri Rural Municipality-2 in Rolpa district.
He had been working on the road construction project in the area.
According to DSP Ganga Bahadur Saru, the spokesperson for the Gulmi District Police, Khadka was living in a rented room at the house of a local resident, Pushkar Thapa.
On the morning of the incident, 13 of his coworkers left for work at 6 a.m., but Khadka stayed behind and went back to sleep.
When he didn’t wake up for lunch, his friends tried to rouse him and discovered he had already passed away.
His body has been taken to Gulmi Hospital in Tamghas for a postmortem examination.
Further investigation into the cause of death is underway.
