Bijay Baral & Keki Adhikari reunite for ‘Janai Harayeako Bahun’

KATHMANDU: Two of Nepal’s most successful actors of 2081 B.S., Bijay Baral and Keki Adhikari, are teaming up for an upcoming feature film titled Janai Harayeako Bahun, which is currently under production.
Last year, Baral starred in the critically and commercially acclaimed Purna Bahadurko Sarangi, which grossed over Rs 460 million.
Similarly, Adhikari’s Bokshiko Ghar came close to Rs 110 million in box office collections, solidifying her status as a leading figure in the Nepali film industry.
In Janai Haraeko Bahun, both actors are confirmed in lead roles. However, the production team has not yet disclosed whether they will appear as an on-screen couple.
The film features a strong ensemble cast including Miruna Magar, Sushank Mainali, Gaurav Pahari, and Bhola Raj Sapkota.
Directed by Himal Neupane in his directorial debut, the movie tells the emotional story of a simple man transitioning from rural life to the city, encountering unexpected events that reshape his life. Central to the plot is the touching relationship between a mother and her son.
The film’s screenplay, story, and dialogues are penned by Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal. Associate director Manish Raut, known for his role in Prem Geet 3, is also part of the creative team.
Janai Haraeko Bahun is being produced under Paperclip Pvt. Ltd. with Bimal Neupane as the lead producer. Executive producers include Kamal Neupane, Narayan Timilsina, Churamani Shivakoti, Rupesh Lama, and RK Manandhar.
The film’s music will be composed by Arjun Pokharel, Thaneshwor Gautam, and S.D. Yogi, with Laxmanraj Paudel serving as the production manager.
Cinematography is being handled by Naveen Gurung, and the movie is backed by Aditya Films.
With a compelling narrative, a talented cast, and a promising directorial debut, Janai Harayeako Bahun is one of the most anticipated Nepali films currently in production.
