Pedestrian killed in motorcycle collision in Morang
The deceased has been identified as 60-year-old Anantaram Khawas, a resident of Gramthan–6.
KATHMANDU: A pedestrian lost his life after being hit by a motorcycle in Gramathan Rural Municipality–6, Morang district.
The incident occurred near Ghina Ghat Road in Sombare when a motorcycle with registration number Ko 22 Pa 9987, heading from Neta Chowk toward Jhorahat, struck the pedestrian.
The deceased has been identified as 60-year-old Anantaram Khawas, a resident of Gramathan–6.
According to reports, he was attempting to cross the road when the accident occurred.
He sustained serious injuries and was immediately rushed to Birat Nursing Home, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
The motorcyclist, 45-year-old Shashi Gachhadar from Budhiganga Rural Municipality–7, and his wife, 35-year-old Manika Gachhadar, who was riding pillion, were both injured in the crash.
They are currently undergoing treatment.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
