KATHMANDU: Bringing a new dimension to entertainment in Nepal, an ultra-modern 18D cinema has officially opened at Kathmandu’s City Center Mall, promising an immersive experience like never before.

The cinema was inaugurated with much fanfare on the occasion of the Nepali New Year.

Iconic Nepali actor Rajesh Hamal graced the event and cut the ribbon to officially launch the attraction.

After experiencing the 18D cinema firsthand, Hamal shared his excitement with the press.

“It felt like I was part of every scene. I’ve never experienced something this thrilling before,” he said, describing the sensation as truly unforgettable.

Located on the third floor of the City Center, the 18D cinema accommodates only 10 viewers per show, allowing for a personalized and highly immersive viewing experience.

Operated by Flyover Entertainment, founded by Ram Thapa and Himal Gurung, the 18D cinema integrates advanced technology to simulate real-life environments. With a dynamic blend of visuals, sound, motion, air effects, and vibrations, audiences are transported into the heart of the film’s world.

According to Gurung, viewers can embark on short yet thrilling cinematic journeys ranging from 5 to 30 minutes.

These include time-traveling to the age of dinosaurs, exploring the depths of the ocean, engaging in epic space battles, and venturing through jungle adventures.

Targeting audiences of all age groups, the 18D cinema aims to set a new benchmark for entertainment in the capital.

Tickets are priced at Rs 300 per person, offering a unique and affordable thrill for those seeking a cutting-edge cinematic experience.
