Nepalis to enjoy 88 public holidays in the year 2082 (with list)

KATHMANDU: The year 2082 is set to be filled with festivities and rest for Nepali citizens, with a total of 88 public holidays lined up, as per the announcement published in the Nepal Gazette by the Government of Nepal.
Out of these, 52 days fall on Saturdays, which are regular weekly holidays. In addition, the government has declared 36 more days as public holidays, covering major festivals, national days, and cultural observances.
Festivals like Dashain and Tihar alone account for 28 days of holidays, while national days including Republic Day contribute to another 6 days.
Local governments also have the authority to announce additional holidays based on regional customs and traditions, which could further increase the total number of off-days.
With such a generous holiday calendar, 2082 promises to be a year full of celebration and relaxation for people across the country.
