KATHMANDU: On the occasion of Nepali New Year 2082, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak extended heartfelt greetings to all Nepalis at home and abroad, emphasizing the need for collective effort to advance the nation toward lasting peace, good governance, inclusivity, and prosperity.

In a message released on Monday, Minister Lekhak wished for happiness, peace, good health, prosperity, and progress for all Nepali brothers and sisters across the globe.

He reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening Nepal’s federal democratic republican system.

“We have now entered a new era under an inclusive federal democratic republic,” the message reads. “This New Year offers an opportunity to further consolidate and strengthen this system.”

Highlighting Nepal’s rich diversity in ethnicity, language, religion, and culture, Lekhak described this diversity as the country’s unique identity and valuable asset.

He underscored the importance of social harmony and tolerance, urging all Nepalis to foster mutual respect and cooperation across all communities, castes, religions, languages, and regions.

“Only through unity can we realize the shared dream of a prosperous Nepal,” he added.

Concluding his message, Minister Lekhak expressed his hope that the New Year would bring new energy, optimism, and a sense of solidarity among all Nepalis.
