Sequel to blockbuster film “Jaari” announced
Titled "Jaari 2", the film will once again feature popular actors Dayahang Rai, Bijay Baral, and actress Miruna Magar in lead roles.

KATHMANDU: On the auspicious occasion of Nepali New Year 2082, the sequel to the hit film Jaari has been officially announced.
Titled “Jaari 2”, the film will once again feature popular actors Dayahang Rai, Bijay Baral, and actress Miruna Magar in lead roles.
The announcement was made on Monday with the release of the film’s first look poster, which shows actor Dayahang Rai playing a traditional Chyabrung drum.
The sequel carries the slogan “Song of Chyabrung”, hinting at the continuation of the cultural themes that resonated strongly in the original.
Directed and written by renowned poet and filmmaker Upendra Subba, who also directed the first film, Jaari 2 is slated for release during Dashain 2082.
The original Jaari, Subba’s directorial debut, was a major box office success, grossing over Rs 17 crores in 2080.
The film will begin shooting in the third week of Baisakh (late April) and will feature a robust cast including Richa Sharma, Buddhi Tamang, Pushkar Gurung, Prem Subba, Mao Tse Gurung, Manhang Lawati, Bishnu Moktan, Kamalmani Nepal, Anil Subba, Rekha Limbu, Bedana Rai, and Sirjana Ninglekhu.
Produced under the banner of Baansuri Films and Kabaddi Films, Jaari 2 will be produced by acclaimed filmmaker Ram Babu Gurung.
The entire film will be shot in various scenic and touristic locations of Panchthar, promising to showcase the region’s rich natural and cultural beauty.
