NEPSE index drops by 8.84 points

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 8.84 points today, closing at 2,661.86 points, a decline of 0.33 percent.

Despite the dip in the benchmark index, share prices of 88 companies recorded gains, while 157 companies saw their prices fall.

One company’s share price remained unchanged.

A total of 131,893,328 shares were traded in 54,361 transactions, amounting to a turnover of Rs 6.28 billion (Rs 6,280,296,000).

Nepal Microinsurance Company Limited emerged as the top gainer of the day, with its share price surging by 10 percent.

Crest Micro Life Insurance followed with a 9.98 percent rise, while Trishuli Jal Vidyut Company gained 5.78 percent.

NIBL Stable Fund and Radhi Bidyut Company also saw notable increases of 5.22 percent and 4.76 percent, respectively.
