Rental service added in Pathao ride sharing app

KATHMANDU: Pathao Nepal has launched a new service ‘Pathao Rental’, further advancing its commitment to “Moving Nepal.”

According to the company, users can now easily book a variety of vehicles through the Pathao mobile app – ranging from cars, SUVs, micros, and minibuses to large buses.

The rental service allows users to book vehicles at least one hour in advance or up to seven days prior to their travel.

The service is designed to cater to different needs such as weddings, picnics, tourism, and office transportation.

Asheem Man Singh Basnyat, Managing Director of Pathao Nepal, said that users can also propose their own fare while booking a vehicle, and the ride will be confirmed once both parties agrees.

The set fare will include road tolls, parking fees, fuel, and overnight stays for the driver, if applicable.

The service is available 24/7.

Similar to other Pathao services, the rental option also includes insurance coverage.

24/7 customer support service has been introduced to address any issues during the rental period.

Users can also contact the phone number provided within the Pathao app to make bookings.

“This service is introduced to enhance passenger convenience and offer drivers an opportunity for additional income,” said Basnyat. He added, “With this new feature, our aim is to make travel more organized, transparent, and technology-friendly.”
