The adverse weather has had a direct impact on daily life.

KATHMANDU: Several parts of Nepal, including the Kathmandu Valley, have been experiencing heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms since early this morning, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division reports that the current weather disturbance is due to the combined effect of western winds, a cyclonic system, and local atmospheric conditions.
The weather is expected to remain unstable for the next few hours, with increased chances of rain, windstorms, and lightning, especially during the afternoon and evening.
The adverse weather has had a direct impact on daily life.
Reports from rural areas indicate that strong winds have knocked down electricity poles and trees, blocking roads and disrupting public movement.
Preliminary information also suggests damage to crops in some locations.
Air travel has also been affected.
According to the Tribhuvan International Airport office, several incoming international flights were put on hold in the air or diverted to alternate destinations due to sudden deterioration in weather conditions.
