KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that Nepal is currently under the influence of western disturbances and local wind systems.

At present, light to moderate rainfall is occurring at a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
According to the latest forecast, the hilly regions are experiencing partly to generally cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country remains mostly clear to partly cloudy.
For Saturday, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in a few areas of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Lumbini provinces, as well as in isolated locations across the rest of the country
. There is also a possibility of light snowfall and rainfall in some high hilly and Himalayan areas.
The widespread fog that has persisted across the country in recent days is expected to gradually diminish.
However, the Department has urged the public to remain cautious due to the potential impacts of thunderstorms, lightning, rainfall, and snowfall.
These conditions may affect health, daily life, agriculture, roadways, and air travel.
People are advised to take necessary precautions and remain alert to minimize risks associated with the current weather systems.
