RPP Lawmaker Pradhan accuses govt. of orchestrating Tinkune violence
He alleged that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli provoked the Youth Association, which eventually led to the unrest.

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) lawmaker Dhurva Bahadur Pradhan has stated that the government must take full responsibility for the recent violent incident in Tinkune, Kathmandu.
Speaking during the meeting of the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee of the House of Representatives on Friday, Pradhan accused the government of intentionally orchestrating the incident.
He alleged that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli provoked the Youth Association, which eventually led to the unrest.
“The government itself staged the incident in a planned manner and is now filing false charges against party leaders,” Pradhan said. “All the provocations that led to the Tinkune incident were done by the government. We have been saying this from the beginning. The Youth Associations were incited by the Prime Minister — why was such provocation necessary?”
He further criticized the arrest of RPP Vice Chair Rabindra Mishra and lawmaker Dr. Dhawal Shumsher Rana, who was reportedly visiting patients at the hospital. “The charges of organized crime and treason being imposed on them are politically motivated. These actions are not being carried out solely by the security forces — they are directed from above,” he added.
Pradhan also accused the government of deliberately trying to create instability in the country.
