Nabil Bank honored as highest taxpaying bank by FNCCI

KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has honored Nabil Bank Limited as the highest taxpaying bank in the country.

The recognition was presented during FNCCI’s 59th Annual General Meeting and Industry and Commerce Day 2081.

In a special ceremony, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli handed over the certificate of honor to the bank’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Manoj Kumar Gyawali.

The award acknowledges Nabil Bank’s significant contribution to the national economy by paying the highest amount of tax among banks, financial institutions, and insurance companies for the fiscal year 2079/80.

Earlier, the Government of Nepal had also recognized Nabil Bank with a certificate of honor on the occasion of this year’s National Tax Day, for being the highest taxpaying institution in the banking, financial, and insurance sector for the fiscal year 2079/80.

Nabil Bank has previously received this prestigious recognition for several fiscal years, including 2067/68, 2070/71, 2071/72, 2073/74, 2075/76, 2076/77, 2077/78, and 2079/80.
