Tight security arrangements ahead of Prasai’s arrival at Kathmandu (photos)

KATHMANDU: Security has been tightened at the airport ahead of the arrival of Durga Prasai, who is being brought to Kathmandu from Bhadrapur on a Buddha Air flight.

Prasai, who had been on the run while actively inciting protests at the Tinkune-based movement site, was reportedly detained by Indian security forces yesterday.

He is now being transported to the capital under high security.

Authorities have prepared extensive security measures to manage his arrival, given the sensitivity of the situation and the potential for unrest.
