Indian Agriculture Minister Chauhan visits Chandragiri Hills

KATHMANDU: The Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare of the Government of India, Mr. Shivraj Singh Chauhan, accompanied by Indian Ambassador to Nepal H.E. Naveen Srivastava and other distinguished delegates, paid a special visit to Chandragiri Hills on Thursday, April 10.
The visiting dignitaries were warmly welcomed by Mr. Hem Raj Dhakal, Chair of Chandragiri Hills, and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Arun Pradhan.
During the visit, Minister Chouhan expressed his admiration for Chandragiri Hills, describing it as an “exceptional tourist destination.”
He noted the lush green hills, the serene and cool climate, and the breathtaking panoramic view of the Kathmandu Valley as key highlights of the experience.
Riding the cable car amidst such natural beauty, he said, was a truly memorable and unique experience.
As part of the visit, Minister Chauhan, along with his family, offered special prayers at the historic and spiritually significant Bhaleshwor Mahadev Temple located atop Chandragiri Hill.
He described the spiritual atmosphere as peaceful and vibrant, saying it left a lasting impression on him.
“The mesmerizing views, peaceful surroundings, and religious significance make Chandragiri Hills a top destination for tourists,” said Minister Chauhan.
He further emphasized that the natural beauty, cultural richness, and spiritual ambiance of the site are sure to captivate every visitor.
The Chandragiri Hills management team expressed their belief that Minister Chauhan’s visit will contribute positively to the promotion of Nepal’s tourism industry, particularly in the realm of religious and spiritual tourism.
