Prasai & his security guard held from Bhadrapur, says police
His arrest was carried out in coordination with the Nepal Police.

KATHMANDU: Durga Prasai, a prominent leader advocating for the restoration of the monarchy in Nepal, has been arrested in Bhadrapur, Jhapa.
According to a statement issued by the Nepal Police Headquarters on Friday, Prasai was taken into custody along with his personal security guard, Deepak Khadka.
Prasai, who had been absconding after allegedly inciting provocative demonstrations in the capital’s Tinkune area, was detained on Thursday by Indian security forces in Assam.
His arrest was carried out in coordination with the Nepal Police.
Following his detention in India, Prasai was handed over to Nepali authorities at the Nepal-India border on Friday.
He is being flown to Kathmandu via Buddha Air through Chandragadhi Airport in Jhapa.
Upon arrival in the capital, police investigations will move forward, and legal proceedings for extending his custody period are also expected to begin, according to the police statement.
