NEPSE index rises by 9.66 points, trading volume drops

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 9.66 points on Wednesday, rising by 0.36% compared to the previous day.

As a result, the overall NEPSE index climbed to 2,676.28 points.

On that day, the share prices of 154 companies went up, while 90 companies saw a decline, and one company’s share price remained unchanged.

In total, 1,738,822 shares were traded in 45,094 transactions, with a total trading value of Rs 4.48 billion.

This marked a decrease in the trading volume compared to the previous day.

Among the 13 subgroups that traded, the indices for Banking and Trade sectors decreased, while the rest of the subgroups saw positive growth.
