Suspicious death: Man’s body found discarded near Temple Complex

KATHMANDU: The body of a man was discovered today in Godawari Municipality-1, Attariya, near the Durga Temple complex, located in front of the Malakheti Police Post.
The identity of the deceased man, who appears to be around 35-40 years old, has not yet been confirmed, according to the local police.
According to Police Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ganga Bahadur Thapa, it appears that the man was murdered by being struck on the head with a stone.
The blow caused severe injuries to the left side of his head and eyes, making it difficult to recognize his face.
A stone covered in blood was found near the body, and no personal belongings, except for his clothes, were discovered at the scene.
The body was found in the southern part of the temple compound, though the police believe the incident took place inside the temple.
The temple’s courtyard, where the body was found, is approximately 20 meters away from the discovery site.
The police suspect that the body may have been dragged from the temple and thrown into the yard.
The body has been sent to Seti Provincial Hospital for an autopsy, and further investigations into the incident are underway.
