RPP Chair Thapa slams govt. for accusing former King Gyanendra

KATHMANDU: Kamal Thapa, the Chair of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), has stated that the government’s act of casting accusations against former King Gyanendra Shah, who has no involvement or connection to the Tinkune incident, is unacceptable.
Speaking at a commitment gathering organized by the United People’s Movement Committee in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Chair Thapa made these remarks.
He accused the government and republican parties of trying to tarnish the image of democracy and Hindu nationalism, which includes the monarchy.
Thapa further claimed that these parties, under the guise of democracy, have been engaged in corruption, amassing wealth that could sustain four generations and concealing their earnings derived from corrupt practices.
The monarchy supporters, according to Thapa, must be cautious and take action; otherwise, their cause will fade away forever. He also urged them to participate in the movement’s programs.
Thapa emphasized the need to learn from the lessons of the Tinkune incident and move forward.
