Cyclist dies in Kailali after being hit by vehicle

KATHMANDU: A 44-year-old woman, Haru Baduwal, residing in Amaaura, Janaki Rural Municipality-5, Kailali, lost her life in a road accident on Wednesday morning.

She was struck by a Hiace with the license plate number Su.P.P.R. 01-001 Ja 1598 while riding her bicycle.

Haru sustained severe injuries in the collision and was rushed to Tikapur Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

Additionally, another cyclist who was involved in the accident is receiving medical care at the same hospital.

The police have detained the driver of the Hiace and are conducting an investigation into the incident.
