Heavy rain with thunderstorms in eastern Terai

KATHMANDU: Since Wednesday morning, districts in eastern Terai, including Jhapa and Morang, have experienced rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning.

In Nepal, the pollution levels have been at a hazardous level due to the lack of rainfall, causing issues such as eye irritation and headaches.

However, with the recent heavy rain, it has been reported that pollution levels have decreased in cities like Kathmandu Valley, which have been severely affected by pollution.

Despite the absence of rainfall in the Kathmandu Valley, which has been ranked as the most polluted city in the world recently, eastern Terai has witnessed thunderstorms and rainfall.
