Tinkune incident: 73 arrested in connection with violence

KATHMANDU: Seventy-three people have been arrested in connection with the violent incident that took place in Kathmandu’s Tinkune area.
As of Monday, the police have apprehended 73 individuals.
According to SP Apilraj Bohara from the District Police Complex Kathmandu, the arrests were made based on evidence gathered from social media videos, photos, CCTV footage, and other sources.
SP Bohara further informed that the District Court of Kathmandu has granted an extension of detention for the 73 individuals.
Among those arrested, 20 people, including senior vice president of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Rabindra Mishra, general secretary and Member of Parliament Dhawal Shumsher Rana, are facing investigation under charges of treason.
The remaining 53 individuals are being investigated for criminal mischief and organized crime.
