KATHMANDU: Nepal’s leading instant noodle brand, Wai Wai, has launched a new flavor, Wai Wai Quick Hot & Spicy Noodles, in the Nepali market.
Priced at just Rs 50, this new noodle variant is specifically aimed at premium consumers and those who enjoy a spicy taste.
For the past four decades, Wai Wai has expanded its presence not only in Nepal but also in international markets.
The company has consistently introduced new flavors to cater to the changing tastes and preferences of consumers.
The newly launched Hot & Spicy Noodles are designed with the spicy taste preferences of consumers in mind, as stated by CG Foods.
This new product is expected to deliver the flavor experience consumers are looking for, further enhancing the popularity of the Wai Wai brand.
Recently, Wai Wai also introduced a Spiceverse TikTok Challenge, where participants can use a special technology-based filter.
Each week, the entry with the most likes will win a cash prize of Rs 10,000.
“In developing this noodle, we made an effort to understand the behavior, desires, and preferences of our consumers. Specifically, we focused on the 15-25 age group, who enjoy gaming, street fashion, and digital art, trying to cater to their interests. The packaging design was also tested using technology-driven methods,” said Shrey Krishna Shrestha, Marketing Head of CG Foods.
The packaging of Wai Wai Quick Hot & Spicy Noodles is designed to stand out from other brands, with an attractive and youth-oriented approach.
It also appeals to consumers over 25 years old who are seeking new taste experiences and enjoy the thrill of spicy flavors.
“The definition of spiciness varies from person to person—some prefer intense heat, while others prefer a balanced spice. We’ve presented the spice in this noodle in a balanced way. We are confident that this new hot and spicy flavor will not only provide a fresh experience but also strengthen our brand,” said Pradeep Pudashaini, CEO of CG Foods.
