Mercure Kathmandu donates Rs 500,000 to Cancer Care Nepal

KATHMANDU: Mercure Kathmandu, a renowned five-star hotel located in Sukedhara, has extended a helping hand to Cancer Care Nepal by providing financial aid to support the treatment of underprivileged cancer patients.
Deshbandhu Basnet, the proprietor of Mercure Kathmandu, presented a cheque of Rs 500,000 to actress Manisha Koirala, the honorary chairperson of Cancer Care Nepal, at a special event held on Monday.
During the event, actress Koirala expressed her gratitude to Mercure Kathmandu for their generous contribution, emphasizing how the financial support would make a significant difference in the lives of cancer patients.
She also expressed hope for continued collaboration between the hotel and Cancer Care Nepal.
“Cancer Care Nepal has been dedicated to supporting cancer patients who are struggling financially. This contribution from Mercure Kathmandu will provide vital encouragement and assistance to these patients as they continue their battle against cancer,” Koirala stated.
Basnet, on behalf of the hotel, shared his excitement about supporting Cancer Care Nepal and affirmed their commitment to further assisting cancer patients in the future.
He expressed the hotel’s eagerness to continue working with the organization to make a positive impact.
Dr. Madan Kumar Piya, Chairperson of Cancer Care Nepal, highlighted that the organization has been providing free cancer treatment to those who cannot afford it, ensuring that they receive the medical care they need.
