Malikarjun RM observes day of mourning today
Joshi, who worked at the Ukhu Health Post in Ward No. 6 of Malikarjun, passed away on Monday during treatment.
KATHMANDU: A day of mourning was observed today in Darchula, Malikarjun Rural Municipality following the passing of Senior Health Worker Dinesh Prasad Joshi.
Joshi, who worked at the Ukhu Health Post in Ward No. 6 of Malikarjun, passed away on Monday during treatment.
Joshi collapsed and became unconscious at the health post around 11 a.m. on Monday and was immediately rushed to the District Hospital in Darchula for treatment.
However, due to the severity of his condition, he was transferred to a hospital in Danghadi for further care.
Unfortunately, on the way, his health deteriorated further, and by the time he reached Pasti Basic Hospital in Malikarjun, he was declared dead by the attending doctors, as confirmed by Lokendra Singh Dhami, the Acting Chief Administrative Officer of Malikarjun Rural Municipality.
In light of this loss, all offices, except for essential services, in Malikarjun Rural Municipality will remain closed on Tuesday.
Joshi, originally from Lekam Rural Municipality-3, Makkanna in Darchula District, had been residing with his family in Kanchanpur at the time of his passing.
