Deputy PM Singh stresses strong, balanced Nepal-India ties

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakash Man Singh, emphasized the need to strengthen and balance the relationship between Nepal and India.

He made this statement during a discussion on “The Contributions of Former Indian Prime Minister Chandrashekhar in Strengthening Nepal-India Relations,” organized by the Ganeshman Singh Foundation in Kathmandu on Monday.

Singh highlighted the importance of advancing bilateral relations between the two nations in a manner that benefits both, regardless of which political party is in power.

He further acknowledged the significant role played by former Indian Prime Minister Chandrashekhar in fostering strong ties between Nepal and India.

He stated, “No matter which party is in power, whether in Nepal or India, the relationship between the two countries should remain strong and balanced. This will benefit both nations. We all must focus on ensuring that both countries’ interests are upheld.”

Singh also credited the enduring and cordial relationship between Ganeshman Singh and Indian leader Chandrashekhar for contributing to the strengthening of Nepal-India ties.
