Tinkune incident: Aani Kunwar arrested

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested Aani Kunwar in connection with an investigation into an incident that took place in Tinkune, Kathmandu.

Kunwar, who is also an artist, is a former journalist.

She was apprehended by a team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office in Teku.

According to Police Superintendent Angur Jisi, Kunwar was arrested during an investigation into a protest that took place on March 28 in Kathmandu’s Three-Kune area.

“Kunwar was found at the home of journalist Suresh Rajak, whose house had been set on fire, and she was arrested for investigation related to that incident. Entering someone’s house without permission is wrong,” he stated.
