PMC provides paddy seeds on subsidy to farmers

POKHARA: The Pokhara Metropolitan City (KMC) has provided paddy seeds to the farmers on subsidy.

Manhar Kadariya, the Metropolitan City’s Agriculture Division Head, informed that 1,500 kg of paddy seeds have been provided at 50 percent subsidy to the farmers.

Stating that various incentive programmes have been launched with the aim of increasing the attraction of farmers towards rice cultivation, he said that an incentive amount of Rs 500 per ropani would be provided this year as well.

Farmers have been cultivating ‘chaitedhan’ (spring paddy) in ward no. 14, 15, 26 and 27 in the metropolitan city.
