Muktinath Bank launches ‘Pocket Money Savings Account’ for youth

KATHMANDU: Muktinath Bikas Bank has introduced a new savings account called the ‘Muktinath Pocket Money Savings Account,’ specifically targeting the youth aged 15 to 18.
This initiative is aimed at benefiting students who have recently completed their SEE (Secondary Education Examination).
The bank stated that the account is designed to attract young people to banking, promote digital banking, raise awareness about the importance of savings, and provide financial literacy regarding the risks of electronic transactions.
Customers opening a Muktinath Pocket Money Savings Account with a minimum balance of Rs 50 will receive free financial literacy training and information on the risks of electronic transactions every six months or annually.
This program is intended to educate young individuals on managing their finances wisely.
Additionally, customers who open this account will enjoy free mobile banking services until they reach the age of 18. The bank also offers a range of benefits, including a free Demat account, registration for MERO SHARE, and discounts on various other banking services.
