KMC employees receive three-month-delayed salaries

KATHMANDU: Employees of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City have received their salaries, which had been delayed for the past three months.

According to Dhruv Kumar Kafle, the Assistant Spokesperson for the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, the salary payments were processed and a message regarding the disbursement was sent at 1:00 PM on Monday. “All employees entitled to receive their salaries have now been paid,” he confirmed.

The decision to release the pending salaries was made on Chait 15, following the return of Saroj Guragain, the Chief Administrative Officer of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, who took the initiative to ensure the delayed payments were cleared.
