KATHMANDU: After nearly four months, flight operations have resumed at Suketar Airport today.

Regular flights at Suketar Airport had been suspended since the end of Mangsir due to technical issues with two aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation.

A flight scheduled for Friday was delayed due to technical problems, but today, the aircraft from Kathmandu brought five passengers and took six passengers from Taplejung (four men and two women) back to Kathmandu, according to the Suketar Airport authorities.

With air services being suspended for an extended period, both domestic and international tourists, as well as the general public, were unable to use the air services.

In the past, airlines like Sita Air and Tara Air had operated flights during the tourist season, but both have now suspended their services.
