Guragain orders salary disbursement as office hours begin

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City’s Chief Administrative Officer, Saroj Guragain, reported to work on time today.

The city police did not attempt to stop him.

As soon as office hours began on Friday, Guragain issued directives for the disbursement of salaries to employees.

These directives come after a prolonged delay in the release of salaries for teachers and staff.

Due to the absence of an administrative officer, teachers and staff of the metropolitan city had not received their salaries for 3 to 5 months.

In line with Mayor Balen Shah’s instructions, the wheel lock on the administrative officer’s vehicle, which had been imposed earlier, has now been removed.

Starting today, Guragai will be using the vehicle for official duties.
