KATHMANDU: The dense haze caused by air pollution in the Kathmandu Valley over the past few days is expected to clear in the coming days.

According to meteorologist Binu Maharjan, the wind speed is likely to increase from Friday, which will gradually improve the air quality and lead to clearer skies.

Currently, there is no likelihood of rain in the capital, but signs are emerging of the clouds gradually dissipating.

Maharjan also mentioned that the temperature has decreased slightly compared to Wednesday, and it is expected to rise again starting tomorrow.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the country is experiencing partial influence from western and local winds, with some cloudy conditions in hilly regions, including Lumbini Province.
