Press Centre Nepal delegation meets family of late journalist Rajak

KATHMANDU: A delegation from Press Centre Nepal recently visited the family of journalist Suresh Rajak, who tragically lost his life during a pro-monarchy protest in Kathmandu’s Tinkune last Friday.
The team expressed their heartfelt condolences and solidarity with the bereaved family.
The delegation, including newly elected President Kamal Giri, Vice Chair Ram Singh Thagunna, newly appointed General Secretary Manoj Gharti Magar, and outgoing General Secretary Santosh Poudel, visited Rajak’s home on Thursday to pay their respects.
During the visit, Chair Giri emphasized that Rajak’s death should be regarded as a murder, calling for a fair and impartial investigation into the incident.
He also demanded that the family be provided with compensation and that those responsible be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.
In addition, Press Centre Nepal extended a financial contribution of Rs 10,000 to the grieving family to help alleviate their burden.
