Oli meets Sri Lankan PM at BIMSTEC Summit, talks with Modi expected

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli held a meeting with his Sri Lankan counterpart, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, during the 6th BIMSTEC Summit in Bangkok on Thursday.

The leaders discussed various aspects of bilateral cooperation under the framework of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC).

While attending the summit, Prime Minister Oli has been actively engaged in side meetings.

Prior to this, he had already met with the King and Prime Minister of Thailand.

Additionally, it is expected that Prime Minister Oli will have a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday afternoon, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
