KATHMANDU: The Teacher’s Federation, which is currently protesting, has stated that they will only participate in talks if the government issues a law.
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology invited the protesting teachers for dialogue on Thursday.
However, the President of the Federation, Laxmikishore Subedi, clarified that an agreement had already been reached in previous discussions, and there was no need for further talks or agreements.
He said, “We will only go to the Ministry if a law is issued. There is no need for further discussions or agreements.”
On Wednesday, a rally was organized by the Teacher’s Federation, demanding the enactment of the School Education Act. Over 50,000 teachers from across the country participated in the rally.
Today, the Teacher’s Federation has again staged protests.
