Trump announces new tariffs on all imported goods
Additionally, Trump indicated that countries adopting unfair trade practices could face even higher tariffs.

KATHMANDU: U.S. President Donald Trump has revealed plans to impose new tariffs on all imported goods.
Announced on Wednesday, the new policy will see a minimum import fee of 10% applied to all goods entering the United States from its trading partners. This measure is expected to have significant implications for global trade.
Additionally, Trump indicated that countries adopting unfair trade practices could face even higher tariffs.
These could rise as high as 50%, a policy Trump referred to as “reciprocal tariffs.” Countries likely to be affected include the European Union, China, Vietnam, Japan, and India, among others.
The President has strongly criticized these nations, accusing them of being major violators of international trade rules.
Analysts suggest that this move could be the most significant shift in the post-World War II trading system, potentially disrupting global supply chains and economic ties.
The tariffs are set to go into effect on April 5th.
