Chasing a target of 170 runs set by Bangalore, Gujarat completed the chase with 13 balls to spare, losing only two wickets. Jos Buttler played a blazing innings of 73 runs off 39 balls, including 5 fours and 6 sixes.
Sherfane Rutherford also contributed with an unbeaten 30 runs off 18 balls.
Sai Sudharsan was dismissed for 49 runs, falling just one run short of a half-century. For Bangalore, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took one wicket in his 4-over spell, conceding 23 runs.
Earlier, Bangalore, who lost the toss and were asked to bat first, scored 169 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
They started poorly, losing four wickets for just 42 runs in the 6.2 over mark.
Mohammad Siraj was the standout bowler, taking 3 wickets for just 19 runs in 4 overs. Sai Kishore also impressed with figures of 2 wickets for 22 runs from 4 overs, while Prasidh Krishna conceded only 2 runs in his 4 overs, taking 1 wicket.
For Bangalore, Liam Livingstone top-scored with 54 runs, while Jitesh Sharma contributed with 33 runs. Tim David added 32 runs off 18 balls. Mohammad Siraj was named the Player of the Match for his excellent bowling performance.
Following this defeat, Bangalore dropped to third place on the points table with 4 points, while Gujarat moved up to fourth place with the same number of points.
Punjab Kings lead the table, with Delhi Capitals in second place.
