Party pays tribute to late leader Bohara with flag draped ceremony

KATHMANDU: The mortal remains of Deepak Bohara, a Member of Parliament and leader of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), were draped with the party’s flag as a tribute.

Bohara, the founding leader of the RPP and a former minister, passed away at the age of 76 on Tuesday morning during treatment.

He had been suffering from various health issues for the past three years and was elected to the House of Representatives from Rupandehi Constituency No. 3.

At the condolence ceremony held today (Wednesday) at the party’s office in Chabahil, RPP President Rajendra Lingden draped the party flag over the late Bohara’s body.

Leaders from various political parties, including Arjun Narasingh KC and Sunil Thapa from the Nepali Congress, Hitraj Pandey from the CPN (Maoist Centre), and Yogesh Bhattarai from the CPN-UML, along with RPP leaders and supporters, also paid their respects to the late Bohora.

His final rites are scheduled to take place today at Pashupatinath Aryaghat.
