KC criticizes winter session for ineffective lawmaking

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress MP Arjun Nar Singh KC stated that the winter session of Parliament was ineffective in terms of legislative work.

Speaking to the media at the Parliament building on Tuesday, he expressed his concerns.

He noted that while the government had passed several ordinances, crucial laws, such as the Federal Bill and Education Bill, remained unchanged and had yet to be presented as formal legislation.

Due to this, he believes the winter session cannot be considered effective in terms of lawmaking.

He also emphasized that Nepal cannot afford further protests and violence, urging the government to take this issue seriously.
