MP Giri calls for Nepal to be declared a Hindu nation
MP Giri stated that the people’s opinion on establishing a Hindu nation was disregarded during the constitution-making process.

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress MP Deepak Giri emphasized the necessity of making Nepal a Hindu nation.
In a conversation with the media on Tuesday at the Parliament building, MP Giri stated that the people’s opinion on establishing a Hindu nation was disregarded during the constitution-making process.
He alleged that even though over 80% of the population had supported Nepal becoming a Hindu state, political maneuvering prevented this from being included in the constitution.
He said, “The opinion of the people during the constitution-making process was locked away. At that time, over 80% of the people wanted Nepal to be a Hindu nation. No one was calling for its removal. Many around the world had a desire to see a Hindu nation. These records and opinions should be reviewed now. It is extremely important for Nepal to become a Hindu state at this point.”
MP Giri firmly asserted that Nepal needs to be a Hindu nation for its progress and stability.
